End of the year, Jam.

Now this is what DH is all about,
Saturday was an uplift day will the 021crew as a thank you for all the
work done over the season and yet another uplift day in Clash on Sunday,
Dennis’s new setup went down very well and did the job. The tracks were
mint, flat out fast and rocky and dusty.
great weather, fast dusty DH tracks and a load of mates with a BBQ always
make a good day out anywhere and that’s what we had for the Saturday, I
spent the day Trying out different bikes and setups and was shocked at
how much a different setup makes on the bike, one bike with a high front
end sucked, could not get it to corner at all and then jumped on a bike
with the front end slammed and tore the place a new one, way faster and
so much fun compared to the other bike. Cam spent the day testing out a
batch of new Solid bikes and he’s sold and has a sweet ride on the way
for next year thanks to OC Tuning.
As for the Sunday the weather turned and we had some nice drizzle and rain
for the day which just made the Clashnacrona trails nice and tacky, Vision
was hampered by the spray with some lads coming down with some well
wrecked goggles, tear off’s were the job until everything got soaked. That
said we finished Greg’s track and although it still needs some work it is
sweet if you like steep and tech DH with a few nice drops. Cam was ripping
chainless on his Orange after ripping another mech off. Alex and Sean gave
it a go, fell of a few times and got well into the steep stuff, Alex was
going well despite the worst set of forks I’ve seen ever and Sean scared a
lot of the lads coming into the finish of C4 completely bottoming the
pitch on the berm. Then of course Luke was on fire as well on his hardtail
on the steep stuff but it was Wesley’s new Sunday was the big news with
the biggest smiles all day, although he kept clipping his pedals, the joys
of low bottom brackets. Another DH bike in West Cork and another DH

convert.
